Friday Favorites:

1. Macarons from laduree. I love pastries, cookies, and desserts of any kind. Except ice cream, I’ve never been an ice cream girl. My assistant recently returned from a trip to New York and brought back six perfectly packed macarons from Laduree. People, we are talking bucket list status here. Biting into one of those treats was pure bliss. I visited Paris ten years ago and was yet to be plagued with the love of fine food or desserts. Since I’m not planning to trot through Paris anytime soon I will happily savor six picture perfect macarons at my kitchen table while my baby naps.

The half eaten one was called Marie Antoinette. It was a bite of HEAVEN!

2. Hylands tiny cold tablets. Kingston’s nose is a faucet and the snot is ever flowing. I was searching Amazon for any ideas of what I could give a baby with a nasty head cold. I read dozens of comments praising the Tiny Colds tablets. I was surprised how well they cut down on snot. He’s slept so much better since discovering the tablets.

3. Flourless cookbook. A friend of mine, Candice, brought this cookbook over on a Saturday morning in February and whipped a banana cake. As she effortlessly whipped up a cake I thumbed through Flourless and was amazed at the recipes. Both my kids have gluten allergies so I’m forced to forgo glutinous ecstasy. I’ve only tried a few recipes but am happy to eat my way through the rest.

4. 100 years of an Indian woman. This is a short YouTube video by CUT.

5. Jen Hatmaker’s post about summer activities with your kids. It speaks to me. I’m a girl who likes a plan so I’m DOWN with some advice on planning 3 months with kids so I don’t go crazy!
